The A-27’s Close Air Support (CAS) capabilities include type 1, 2, and 3 controls to include NVG night and live weapons capabilities. Valkyrie’s A-27s are equipped with an MX-15 sensor with laser designator, infrared (IR) pointer, Electro-Optical (EO) and IR cameras with a Rover compatible video down link (VDL).
Valkyrie pilots and sensor operators are experts on the latest TTPs, JFIRE, and JPUB documents and requirements, as well as all weapons currently employed in the CAS environment. Valkyrie’s pilots have more than 100 years of CAS experience and our sensor operators are former TACP’s with extensive combat experience in ground and air operations.
Valkyrie’s A-27 Tucano’s are able to conduct 8-10 controls within a 60min TOT while executing realistic attack profiles. All Valkyrie crew members are also experienced at simulating a wide variety of tactical aircraft during the CAS missions to provide extraordinary realism for the training audience.
