EO/IR Sensor with Laser Target Designator

L3 Wescam MX-15DiA

Valkyrie Aero utilizes the L3 Wescam MX-15DiA on its Embraer A-27 Tucano fleet which allows for the identification, ranging, auto tracking, illumination and guidance of precision munitions at ranges of up to 10 nautical miles, altitudes of 25,000’MSL, and speeds in excess of 300 KTAS.

The centerline mounting of the sensor eliminates fuselage blanking while providing a very capable day and night ISR/CAS/SAR/RESCAP aircraft with more than 3 hours of time on station. Valkyrie’s A-27 Tucanos can also broadcast a live feed from the sensor for 10 nautical miles (18.5 km) as well as record sensor video and all communications for debrief.
